From Cron Scripts to Fleet Orchestrator: Why I Turned My Internal Tool Into a SaaS

It started with a Raspberry Pi and a broken cron job. I was building a local agent to monitor my home network, and it kept failing silently. No logs, no errors, just... nothing. I spent more time debugging the agent than it spent working.

I realized that everyone building with OpenClaw was facing the same "blindness." We were all building powerful reasoning machines and then leaving them in a dark box. ClawTrace wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born in the frustration of a developer who just wanted to know what his agent was thinking.

The "Internal Tool" Phase

The first version of ClawTrace was just a simple Node.js server that collected heartbeats from my local scripts. It grew into a CLI, then a gateway, then a dashboard. Every time I ran into a scaling issue (latencies, cost, security), I built a feature to solve it.

The SaaS Pivot

When I showed the dashboard to a few colleagues, the reaction was always the same: "Can I use this for my production agents?" That was the lightbulb moment. The hard part of AI isn't the model—it's the Operational Bridge between the silicon and the user.

Our Mission: Empowering the Fleet

ClawTrace exists to make autonomous fleets boring. We want developers to focus on the reasoning logic, while we handle the high-speed telemetry, the security policies, and the financial guardrails. We're building the infrastructure for the next billion autonomous tasks.

Welcome to the fleet.
